Simian Stables

With a legendary disposition towards animals, the Oblives took up the crest of the monkey: an exotic creature not native to Maurian lands.  The emblem has become synonymous with the lavish menageries one might visit in Oblive lands, as well as the countless beasts provided to the Crown for tournaments, royal hunts, and other festivities.  In times of war, however, it is the Oblive Stallion that sets this family apart from the other ruling families of the Cusped Kingdom.  For hundreds of years, horses in the Oblive's Simian Stables have been carefully selected and crossbred to create a class of mounts that makes the Kingdom's cavalry perhaps its greatest asset on the battlefield.  It is said that the best of these horses are so well-trained that they will only cooperate with riders who are loyal to the D'Leons and their cause.
