Blended Protection: When a Monkey Spearman is within 1 space of a tree that is equal to or greater than his height, he adds 2 to his defense.
Charge Breakers: When fighting against beasts and stallions while wielding a piercing melee weapon, Monkey Spearmen add 2 to both their attack and defense.
Custom Shield: Shield mods can be used to upgrade the Monkey Knights' shields.
Monkey Grip: Monkey Spearmen treat 2-handed weapons like mainhand weapons and can equip mainhand weapons in their offhand.

While the Oblives don't train full-fledged knights of their own, they've always invested heavily in maintaining capable spearmen to guard their stables and subdue escaped beasts in their menageries. From the start of their training Monkey Spearmen are trained to be able to hold onto and mount the wildest of creatures, but when in combat, this same skill has led many of these warriors to be able to maintain a strong grip on large weaponry. Indeed, in this time of war, the spearmen have been repurposed as front-line fighters who wield large and difficult weaponry while helping the Kingdom armies to defend against the variety of beasts other realms summon to the battlefield.
